More and more finance organizations are developing Windows 10 apps lately, showing their interest in the Windows platform. American Express and Bank of America already launched their official Windows 10 apps, allowing users to review checking credit card or savings accounts balances, view mortgage data, and much more straight from their Windows 10 phones.

Wells Fargo is another major financial organization that announced it would soon release its official Windows 10 app. This piece of news comes right as another financial giant, PayPal, announced it would end support for Windows phones on June 30.

Wells Fargo already has a Windows 8.1 app, but the upcoming Windows 10 app will bring a new user interface, a new look and a series of other significant improvements related to navigation, transaction searches, and payment calendars.

The new Windows 10 app will be launched in late June and will mark the end of support for the Well Fargo Windows 8.1 app. However, older Windows phones may not fully support the new Windows 10 app, the company warns. At the same time, the company explicitly advises its clients to upgrade to Windows 10 and implicitly suggest users should also buy a newer Windows phone.

Although we know the new app will be available by the end of June, we still don’t know whether or not it will be available on both Windows 10 PC and Mobile. In an email sent to its customers, the company mentions only its Windows 8.1 app, which suggests the new Windows 10 app will only support mobile devices.

We regularly update our mobile banking services, and older operating system versions or devices may not support these new features and enhancements.
