Many want to know exactly how they can get rid of the unwanted ads and just as they asked, solutions came. One very simple solution that has worked for many users is just unpinning Microsoft Edge from your taskbar. If the program is still on your taskbar, right click it and select the Unpin from taskbar option. According to a lot of users, this should get rid of the pesky ads for you. But there were also users that didn’t find success with this solution, so it isn’t failproof.

In case the first one failed, here is another solution that might prove to be more successful. What you need to do is open your Start menu and navigate to your Settings. Once the settings menu is open, go to the System section and continue by selecting Notifications & Actions.

From there, look for the Get tips, tricks and suggestions as you use Windows section, which should be positioned on the right side among other options. Once you turn the toggle for that setting to Off, your ad problems should be a thing of the past.
