Microsoft just released the new Preview build 14977 for Windows 10 Mobile. The build is currently only available for Mobile devices, so Insiders on PC will have to wait some more time to get the new build.
As always, Microsoft revealed the list of known issues that build 14977 causes. However, problems listed by Microsoft are not the only problems bothering Insiders. Microsoft’s Jason [MS] said on Microsoft’s forums that some Lumia devices are having problems downloading the new build.
Microsoft is currently investigating the issue and the solution should be released soon. This is, so far, the only problem caused by build 14977 we’ve managed to find. Despite that, users are generally unsatisfied. First, the build is late on PC and even Mobile Insiders are having troubles installing it.
“Hello Insiders,
While attempting to install build 14977 for Mobile, you may hit an error: 8007007B
Unfortunately if you hit this error, you will not be able to install 14977. There is no workaround. You’ll need to wait for our next Mobile build release.
This issue does not affect all devices and there is no long-term harm from encountering it. The device will simply fail the install and boot back to your current OS build.
We’re already working on a resolution so all applicable devices may receive the next update.
Thank you as always,
Jason”
As soon Microsoft releases a solution, we’ll let you know about it. Also, we’re going to write our traditional report article as soon as users report more problems.
