Microsoft recently rolled out Windows 10 20H1 Build 18932 to Fast Ring Insiders. This update includes Eye Control and notifications settings improvements. The tech giant also fixed some bugs in the operating system.

However, many Insiders ran into different issues during the installation process.

Here is a list of some of the most common issues reported by Windows 10 Insiders so far.

Windows 10 Build 18932 reported bugs

Slow installation issues

Many Windows 10 users reported slow installation issues with this build. Those who attempted to install Windows 10 Build 18932 had to wait for long hours for the install process to complete.

Installation failures

There are some users who experienced problems while updating their Lenovo systems. The issues can be avoided by using the Media Creation Tool to install the update.

Yesterday I had two bounce back to GTR and overall progress of Installing – X% was very slow and whole update take 3 hours.

Restart in Settings does not work

Users who tried to reboot their systems using the Restart button in settings reported that it does not work.

Had problems with my Lenovo TPX61 upgrading to 18932. Finally I clean installed the Media Creation Tool and then went to Windows Update. There was 18932 and 6-8 other updates. All downloaded and installed including 18932. Clicked on Restart now and it installed all. No bounces and completed.

Unfixed bugs

The changelog suggests that Microsoft fixed the error 0x80070005 in the recent release. However, despite these claims, many users say otherwise.

Restart in Settings/Windows Update didn’t work. Right-click Start button. Clicking Update and Restart worked.

Cortana launching issues

Recently Microsoft released a beta version of Cortana on Microsoft Store. However, many Windows 10 users experienced issues while launching the app.

Further to my post, in General Changes and Improvements section I have noticed that error 0x80070005 has been fixed. But I have just seen this error code when trying to restart my PC after upgrading to build 18932.

Cortana actually opens in a very small window. If you are experiencing similar problems, you can open the run dialogue box and type ms-cortana2 to launch the digital assistant.
