Many users complained on Reddit that Windows 10 v1903 update often gets stuck.

One user says that is getting the What Needs Your Attention message. Here is how the OP described this specific problem:

The more urgent issue here is that the user doesn’t know what causes the problem: is this a hardware or driver incompatibility issue?

Getting the “What Needs Your Attention” showstopper. The thing is it doesn’t specify WHICH services, hardware, or drivers are incompatible.

Another user reports the following:

It seems that in this case, the reason why Windows 10 v1903 Update install is getting stuck is different.

Stuck at 72% on the installing screen… using the Windows 10 Setup app

A general solution can be found on this Microsoft forum thread:

So, if your Windows 10 update gets stuck, the reason might be as simple as not having enough space on your hard drive. Therefore, free up some disk space and then try again to install the update.

If you get stuck on “checking for updates,” you cantry stopping windows update and renaming/deleting the Software Distribution folder. I also ran diskcleanup and deleted 12 GB(?!) of old update files, which sped it up.
