Windows 10 build 14946 is out, further improving the user experience thanks to the new features and fixes it brings. This update offers a series of new options to customize gestures on precision touchpads, schedule Wi-Fi connections, and more.

Perhaps one of the most interesting new features brought by this build is the option to turn off your phone’s screen when you’re not using it with Continuum and save battery. Turning off one screen doesn’t affect your work. Once your phone screen is turned back on, you can quickly resume work on your terminal.

You can also customize timeout values, as you can change them independently for the phone and connected screen, using the settings available under Settings > Personalization > Lock screen.

Today, we are happy to announce the availability of a top user request for Continuum for Phone. With this update, you will now be able to turn off whichever screen you are not using with Continuum – saving battery and preventing screen burn-in. If you are working on a Word document, your phone screen will sleep without any impact on your Continuum session. If you make a call, hang-up, or press the phone power button, you can keep right on working in Word with Continuum.

Windows 10 build 14946 also brings two more interesting new features for Mobile: users can now prevent autocorrection and remove words from dictionary. Microsoft also changes the frequency of scheduled backups for Mobile to once a week, but you can initiate manual backup at any time.
