If you didn’t know already, the tech giant Microsoft has scheduled three major updates for Windows 10. The first update to Windows 10 was Redstone 1 and it was released in August this year. The company has some current plans to release other two updates that will wear the same codename, Redstone. One of them is supposedly going to be released in March next year, and the other later on in 2017.
If you are curious about more, find out that the Version 1507 for Windows 10 was the first release of the latest operating system which got the codename Threshold and it was released back in July 2015. The next version, wearing the codename Threshold 2 (Version 1511) was released in November the same year. Recently, we got the latest version, 1607 (with the codename Redstone 1), also called the Anniversary Update.
WalkingCat, a famous watcher of Microsoft, has just posted some new information about this. According to one of their tweets, Microsoft plans to name the next update for Windows 10 “Version 1703”. From this name we can see that most likely it will be released in March 2017, as everybody was rumoring until now.
Of course, it is possible that Microsoft will change its internal plans, but what we do know for sure is the fact that Redstone 2 is currently under tests in the Windows Insider program. Also, they have other plans in order to improve the operating system. If you look in the past, you will see that Build 2016 was released towards the end of March 2016, so most likely Microsoft will follow the same pattern for Version 1703 and will release the Build 2017 in March 2017.
Either way, fans are really excited to see what other features will the tech giant bring to its users and how are they going to improve the operating system.
