Even if Microsoft will release Windows 10 Redstone 3 in September, Insiders can already test some of its upcoming features, like Microsoft Edge’s PDF Reader as well some changes to the Settings page that relocate Cortana’s settings there. This means easier customization of the personal assistant.
Microsoft took the decision to implement this change in response to Insider feedback after many users went to the Settings app to find Cortana’s settings and found nothing there.
This is not the only Cortana improvement build 16188 brings: the option to universally dismiss Cortana reminders is now enabled across Windows devices as well, saving users the trouble of performing the same action twice. For more information about Universal dismiss, you can check out Microsoft’s Developer page.
Cortana is a core component of Windows and users look to the Settings app to find Cortana’s settings. We’ve heard your feedback about discoverability, and with this build, we’ve made the change to migrate all of Cortana’s settings into Settings. You can access them by clicking the settings gear in Cortana, going to Settings > Cortana, or just searching for the setting you’re interested in.
