Microsoft just revealed that it’s partnering with Bitdefender, Lookout, and Ziften to expand the reach of Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) even more.

By teaming up with the of the most significant security firms, Microsoft wants to bring ATP to devices running on Android, iOS, macOS, and Linux.

The three security companies mentioned above will all feed threat detection data into a single central resource, and security teams will then use the information.

This way, they’ll be able to watch all potential threats from just one location, making things much easier.

This is only the beginning of what’s to come

Microsoft says that this partnership is just the beginning of what the company has in store for the future. There will be more strategic partnerships shortly to help offer increased security for install bases and networks.

Every device connected to Windows Defender ATP will be assigned its own timeline, and security teams will be able to see even history by going back six months.

Windows Defender ATP is simple and easy to implement

The integration of Windows Defender ATP in Microsoft’s partners’ solutions is simple, and there are no requirements for additional infrastructure. Microsoft also explains each of the three partnerships:

Bitdefender’s GravityZone Cloud allows customers to view malware, suspicious files, threats and more relevant information.

Lookout Mobile Endpoint Security provides customers real-time insight into incidents on mobile devices and allows them to respond quickly and efficiently.

Ziften Zenith systems and security operations platform allows customers to find attacks and zero-day exploits, to unveil the full scope of a breach and to respond to attacks immediately.

Availability

Bitdefender integration is already available for public preview, and the other two are set to join Microsoft’s Public Preview Program shortly.
