In the past, this tool only supported smartphones but Microsoft decided to enhance it by giving it support for HoloLens and HoloLens Clicker.

The Windows Device Recovery Tool is a great application if your smartphone has issues with its operating system. If you have any major problems on your smartphone, you can use the Windows Device Recovery Tool to easily revert to the previous version of the operating system, thus fixing most issues.

Not that long ago, Microsoft changed the name of the Windows Phone Recovery Tool to Windows Device Recovery Tool, the first sign that Microsoft was planning to add support for additional devices to this tool. That came true with recently added support for HoloLens.

During this year’s Build conference, Microsoft announced that HoloLens development kits would start shipping immediately, so it’s no surprise to see that the Windows Device Recovery Tool now supports HoloLens and HoloLens Clicker.

In case you’re not familiar, HoloLens is a holographic computer that allows you to interact with holograms in the real world. HoloLens is an amazing device although a rather expensive one, so it’s quite reassuring to know you can reset your device using Windows Device Recovery Tool.

Microsoft was swift to release an update for the Windows Device Recovery Tool and if you are one of the few HoloLens owners, make sure to download version 3.3.31 of it here.

The Windows Device Recovery Tool has always been a useful tool for fixing major operating system problems on your smartphone, and with added support for HoloLens, this tool is even better.
