It is becoming very clear that Microsoft is going to launch a new Xbox One next month at the E3 2016 press conference, but we’re still not certain what type of machine it is. We do know that Sony is planning something and Nintendo is also aiming to disrupt the market with its NX console.

According to a leaked image posted on NeoGAF a few days ago, Microsoft has finished developing this new Xbox One. Apparently, work began back in 2014, a year after the original Xbox One was revealed and launched. In February of this year, the software giant began to mass produce the console for sale.
Popular rumors have it that Microsoft is planning to use E3 2016 to announce an upgraded Xbox One or even an entirely new console. However, we do not believe this is the case seeing as there hasn’t been a single bit of leaked information from developers similar to that of the rumored PlayStation Neo.
If it is not an entirely new Xbox One, then what is it? Well, we believe it is merely an Xbox One Slim and nothing more. It will likely come with a 1TB or more hard drive with additional USB ports too. It is the only logical move for Microsoft right now.
Sony has a reason for needing to have a more powerful PlayStation on the market because of its VR gaming device. Microsoft doesn’t have anything of the sort that will be ready to hit the market any time soon.
Adding fuel to fire, the folks at Thurrot.com also got wind of a secret Microsoft console scheduled for an E3 2016 launch. The publication stated that it will also come with a new controller, but chances are this controller may only sport a color difference from the current one.
