Microsoft recently announced that pre-ordering for the Xbox One X is now available. The first of these will be pre-orders for the One X Project Scorpio Edition version.

The Project Scorpio Edition consoles will be limited editon and come with a vertical stand and the special wording on the console and controllers.

After all reserves are met for the limited edition consoles, the company will begin taking pre-orders for the standard version of the console as well.

The official release date is Nov. 7 for the console – just in time to make it on holiday shopping lists. And will be priced at $499.

Xbox quickly became one of Microsoft’s more influential offerings over the last decade. Not only was it the first time an American company offered a gaming console, but it was also well received and the later release of Xbox live, arguably changed the landscape for gamers. These iterations were followed by Xbox 360 and Xbox One – each competing with new releases from rival companies Sony and Nintendo.

The Xbox One X promises the provide the same level of innovation that past releases have brought. For this reason it has dedicated gamers clamouring to get their hands on it.

This latest console release is being touted by the company as their “best yet” and unlike anything else that’s available today.  It be backwards compatible and allow gamers to use older games from previous consoles while still be up to 40 percent more powerful than any other console out there.

The company is already releasing new games and enhancing existing ones so that they can leverage the power of the new consoles capabilities to host 4K games.
