Microsoft launched a preview version of the Edge browser for Mac users. Microsoft suggests Mac users should visit the Microsoft Edge Insider site to install the new Microsoft Edge on their macOS devices.
Earlier this month, Microsoft announced its plans to release Chromium-based Edge to macOS. Microsoft updated its site with a canary version of Edge and announced that weekly Dev channel builds are coming soon.
However, the final version is currently not available to the general public but you can still download and use the beta version of the browser.
Twitter user WalkingCat was the first to spot the Mac Dev build 76.0.151.0.

You can install and use the new Microsoft Edge on your Mac device just like other Mac applications. Although this is not the final release, it should work just fine for most Mac users. Microsoft says that regular updates will be available through the Edge browser.
As you know, Microsoft releases regular updates for the Canary build and the Dev build gets weekly updates. You can go for the Dev build if you just want to explore the browser. Developers can take advantage of these early releases. Moreover, you can use Microsoft Edge browser on all of your devices to sync your data across platforms.
You can spot various similarities between the Windows and Mac version of Edge. The company plans to optimize the user experience to match the appearance of MacOS.
