Surface Studio owners have not been able to enjoy checking out the Windows 10 April 2018 Update and you probably already know this if you own the device as well. The 1803 version of the operating system has been spreading really fast in PCs from Microsoft, Dell, and MSI. Now, there’s finally some good news heading on the Surface Studio users.

Surface Studio received the Windows 10 April  Update

It seems that Microsoft has been blocking the update on the Surface Studio devices. The reason was an incompatibility that triggered connectivity issues with Bluetooth devices. The tech giant addressed the issue on its Community website, and they also announced during the course of last week that it has been fixed.

The announcement came right after a user wrote the following:

There were more users who wrote that they were confronted with the same problem but fortunately, it seems to be fixed and everyone can install the Windows 10 April 2018 Update on their Surface Studio devices.

I have a Surface Studio i7 2TB model that refuses to install the 1803 update for Windows 10.  A message states that the update is not compatible with the hardware, which seems fairly absurd.  I can’t even install the update from a full Windows 10 1803 DVD. Anyone else having this same problem?  Any solutions?

The blocking was due to an incompatibility issue

Microsoft answered that the company has been blocking the Surface Studio devices from installing the update due to an incompatibility. This caused a connected Bluetooth accessory to stop responding. It seems that this block is now removed and anyone who is interested in installing the April 2018 Update can do so by heading over to Settings –Update & Security – Windows Update.
