The app world is huge but even then, sometimes you simply cannot find an app to suit your needs. This situation is even more annoying if you work in the business world. Luckily, Microsoft has a solution for you: its new PowerApps service. This tool allows you to create apps by connecting various services – Office 365, Salesforce, OneDrive and others — without coding anything. The public preview is now available for PowerApps so that you can check out what this tool can do.
PowerApps allows you to create the custom apps that suit your business needs. First, you need to sign up for a free work or school-based PowerApps account. Once you have done that, you’ll be able to sign in to PowerApps on the web.
When you sign in for the first time, PowerApps will show you a series of sample apps that you can use in your web browser. Explore these apps to see what they can do and you will also see how this tool can help your business. Each sample app is designed for a specific purpose, such as managing a budget or estimating costs.
After this introduction, you can create your own apps. To do this, install PowerApps Studio for Windows and then connect to data sources and start composing apps in a visual designer. No coding skills are required. You can also build an app from a template which is similar to sample apps. All you need to do is open the templates in PowerApps Studio and you will see hands-on how an app is built.
When you are done, you can publish the new app to your organization. Your colleagues can access it from various devices: laptops, tablets, and phones. PowerApps supports the three major operating systems: Android, iOS, and Windows.
If you want to create your own apps, go to Microsoft’s PowerApps page and sign up for free.
